Meet the Team
Layne Smith, LPC-S
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor who believes everyone deserves a place where they can feel safe, accepted, & truly heard — even if life currently feels like one long group text argument. My hope is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure to “have it all together.” Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on your heart, work through life’s challenges, & move toward healing, growth, & maybe even a little peace and quiet.
My specialty is working with struggling teens & parent relationships — helping families survive the emotional rollercoaster of adolescence, communication breakdowns, slammed doors, eye rolls, & the occasional “you just don’t understand me.” I love helping parents and teens reconnect in healthier, more meaningful ways.
I attended the University of Texas at Tyler, where my passion for helping others continued to grow & shape the counselor I am today. Outside of the counseling room, I’m married to an East Texas boy & am a proud mom to three daughters, so I understand firsthand that parenting is both beautiful & slightly chaotic. Those roles have deeply shaped the compassion, warmth, humor, & understanding I bring to the work I do.
